Fulham skipper desires to get items from Villa - Birmingham Mail

Fulham skipper Brede Hangeland desires to be successful against Aston Villa Brede Hangeland Fulham chief Brede Hangeland is determined to end Aston Villa's new resurgence - and claim the glory that director Martin Jol thinks can assure their Barclays Premier League protection. Property have risen out of the bottom three with a work of three wins in four matches but their position is still unsafe, only two things free from the relegation zone. Fulham come in mid-table but Jol is worried about being dragged back in the scrap over the remaining eight weeks of the season and required yet another win to make sure their protection. "Every sport in this league is tough but Villa are eager for the details while they are trying to prevent relegation," Hangeland told Fulham's official internet site, www.fulhamfc.com. "They have come in to a little bit of form recently so they really will undoubtedly be dreaming about that to continue - but we want to win as well. Fulham 1 Aston Villa 0 "If we will get back to the proper execution we have found this season then we've to be in with a shout." Fulham's five-match unbeaten work stumbled on end at Newcastle last week, once the Magpies borrowed most of the things with a last-gasp winner from Papiss Cisse. But Hangeland insisted the dissatisfaction Fulham felt from then on defeat is going to be channeled into tomorrow's day at Villa Park. "It could be the worst way to lose a game," he explained. "We thought we'd done enough to acquire a draw so to lose it with nearly the final stop was hard. We'd defended pretty well - they had had many possibilities but it did not seem like it'd be their time. "So to reduce in the manner we did truly hurts but we've to select ourselves up, dust ourselves down and forget about it now as we look ahead to the Aston Villa game." Jol is waiting on the results of a late fitness before he knows whether Cameroon midfielder Eyong Enoh is likely to be available. Enoh hurt his ankle all through Fulham's defeat to Newcastle last week-end and the Lilywhites are already without midfielders Steve Sidwell (suspension), Ashkan Dejagah (ankle) and Mahamadou Diarra (leg). Dejagah can endure ankle tendon surgery a few weeks, joining Diarra on the sidelines for the remainder of the season.
