After being unfairly (according to us) omitted of the squad last time, Marvin Sordell has been called in Stuart Pearce's 28 person squad for the England U21 fits against Romania and Australia, along side fellow Trotter Craig Dawson. while Benik Afobe has been dropped. I made no secret of my thoughts on Sordell's exclusion the last time Pearce called a squad, and luckily I don't have to repeat myself. These games would be the last opportunity for the players to prove their worth to Pearce prior to the European Under 21 Championship, that will be held in Israel come early july. The U21s are on a game winning streak, expanded of late by a 4-0 conquer the Sweden U21s in early February, a match in which the full 90 minutes were played by Dawson. In front of that fit, the opponent said, We've surely got to begin 2013 well and it starts tonight against Sweden. Everyone would want to play well, impress and book their place on the plane in June. In every game most of us want to do our most useful and be involved in the next one, but at the back of everyone's mind now is that Israel is approaching, so everyone will want visit be in that group for the Finals. I think we have an excellent camaraderie, that's through the group and the team. It is such a close-knit unit. Every game we've performed there's always been a few new additions and they have all been accepted into the side well and settled in nicely. Every one enjoys playing for England and being truly a part of this group, and that where in actuality the success has come from. Best of luck to Sordell, Dawson, and their U21 teammates!
