Monday when you think, you tend not to think of school lacrosse. This year, however, we have seen many curiously scheduled mid-week games that hold us die-hard supporters entertained. For Yale, they may have not been considering college lacrosse either, because it took the Bulldogs three areas to enjoy and show up. On a lovely evening on Long Island, the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team managed Yale in what looked to be a mismatch. Yale has quality benefits on its resume, while Stony Brook is having an average season at best. Stony Brook came out warm, keeping a lead throughout the game. Only when it appeared as if Yale had transported it in, the Bulldog offense started moving. Led by three objectives and two helps by Brandon Mangan, Yale clawed back and fundamentally outlasted Stony Brook 11-10. Both goalies wound up with save costs right around 50 percent. There clearly was a lot of rating, that has become routine with the new rule changes in 2013. The pace of play has grown, and with that, goalie numbers and defensive numbers have fallen. Stony Brook was light emitting diode by Mike Rooney, who documented six points away from three targets and three assists. The Seawolves could actually maintain possession through reliable face-off play, and had many assisted objectives in tight. Challen Rogers documented three facilitates, while Brody Eastwood included a hat trick of his or her own. Stony Brook, today 6-7, has Hartford and Albany upcoming, and has a tall task ahead to reach the.500 mark for the year. Yale, at 8-3, should experience Maryland and Harvard overseas before fighting in the Ivy League postseason tournament.
