Just days after a petition called for Rampage's removal from the UFC leading into his bout with Glover Teixeira at UFC on Fox 6, the light heavyweight superstar is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Following his loss to Teixeira at the event, Rampage spoke with MMA Heat's Karyn Bryant, and things quickly got out of hand.
In regards to uncomfortable positions encountered while grappling, Rampage came off with this absolute gem (as quoted at BloodyElbow):
Some people just shouldn't have nuts on they face. I raise my hand, I'm one of those people. (Bryant raises her hand as well)
To Bryant: "Come on, now..You like dragons? ("I don't know where this is going...yeah, sure") 'Cause Ill be dragging my balls on your face"
Rampage's history with female reporters involves dry-humping and motorboating reporters, and he drew ire for a video entitled which showed Rampage demonstrating the proper "technique" to employ when raping a woman.
I do not know why Rampage continues to involve himself in such controversy, but for a man who hasn't had a finish inside the Octagon since 2008, maybe this is his way of "finishing up" outside the Octagon.
Since his career with the UFC is currently in jeopardy, it will be interesting to see how these most recent comments affect his bargaining power with the organization.
