Real Madrid C.F. - Official Web Site - Cristiano Ronaldo is the first ...

Cristiano Ronaldo knows no limits. The Portuguese striker has become the first Real Madrid player to score 11 goals in one season in the Champions League. Having reached this tally after the three goals he scored in the quarter-final against Galatasaray, he has made this his most goal-studded season of the ten he has played in the Champions League throughout his career thus far. Cristiano, who is the top goal-scorer in the current edition of the competition, has also become the first Real player to score in five consecutive matches in the Champions League.

Real Madrid is now one of the top four teams in Europe having knocked out Galatasaray in a match in which Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the team's greatest weapons, having scored three of its five goals. Ronaldo continues to surpass his figures season after season and in this season he has managed to score 11 goals, thus becoming the first Real Madrid player to reach this figure in a single season in the Champions League and beating his own record of 10 goals, scored in the previous season.
