Getty Photos A MANCHESTER CITY childhood person will soon be sentenced today for evoking the death of a and sister by careless driving. Courtney Meppen-Walter, 18, was driving of his Mercedes car speeding at around 56mph in a 30mph area when he ploughed into a Nissan Micra emerging from a side street. The Nissan driver, Kulwant Singh, 32, from Salford, and his sister, front seat passenger Ravel Kaur, 37, from Cheetham Hill, were both killed. Ms Kaur's two sons, aged 16 and 17, both backseat people, were also injured in the crash at around 10.15pm on September 1 a year ago at the junction of Great Ducie Street and Sherborne Street in central Manchester. Meppen-Walter, of Middleton Road, Blackley, Manchester, accepted two counts of causing death by reckless driving at the city's magistrates' court early in the day this month. The case was adjourned to Manchester Crown Court for sentencing currently after JPs decided their powers of sentencing were not enough to cope with the case. Meppen-Walter was presented with an interim driving bar. The Bury-born opponent has been at the Premier League club since 2003 and has represented England at under-17 level. Ms Kaur's two teenage sons are now making a good recovery.
