The 21-year-old was in late January released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of rape. A record from the club today said: 'Newcastle United could state that Nile Ranger has currently left the club by mutual consent.' The England Under-19 global has recently had running battles with Newcastle followers via social media site Twitter, but today used his account only to say, 'I'm happy.' He also spelt his name out in A20 notes and posted the photo on-line. The London-born Ranger got through the ranks at Newcastle, but only five of his 51 group looks attended as starts, and he's scored only three goals in all contests since making his debut in '09.
