Sir Alex Ferguson's side is coming off the back of several disappointing results, namely an FA Cup exit at the hands of Chelsea and a Premier League defeat to local rivals Manchester City.
Sunday's game should provide United with a platform from which to launch what they hope will be a successful end to a mixed season.
Indeed, Tony Pulis' side have only won one of their last 13 league games—a 2-1 home victory over Reading in February.
In terms of injuries and suspensions, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic and Ashley Young should all be available to Sir Alex, while Marc Wilson and Glenn Whelan could be absent for Stoke (via Goal.com).
